Peter Family and Cosmetic Dentistry

Joanna grew up in a small town in Southern Ohio, and moved to the Independence area in 2009. After working in the dental field for almost 20 years, she joined Peter Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in October of 2019. She most enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them understand their dental needs. One of the most rewarding parts of her job is helping a fearful patient become comfortable in the office, allowing them to complete their treatment.

When Joanna is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 23 years, their two wonderful daughters, and friends and family. They also love spoiling their two fur babies. Kelly joined the practice in December of 2014. She grew up in Alexandria, where she still lives with her husband and two girls. Her favorite part of working at PFD is seeing everyone going above and beyond for our patients, to ensure they have a positive experience.

Out of the office Kelly enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite quote is from Audrey Hepburn: “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, ‘I’m possible.” 

Hailey joined our team at Peter Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in 2025 and serves as both a Dental Assistant and Patient Coordinator.  A Northern Kentucky native, Hailey graduated from Simon Kenton in 2021 and has been contributing to the dental field since 2023.

Hailey finds immense satisfaction in her work, particularly in helping patients gain confidence in their smiles and engaging in hands-on patient care and the variety of tasks her role entails.  Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her dogs.  Hailey lives by the motto: “Don’t wait for opportunities to find YOU – create them.

Caitlyn grew up locally in Northern Kentucky. She lives here in Independence, KY with her husband and two children. Caitlyn has been in the dental field for several years, however, joined our office in 2016 as a hygienist. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati. Her favorite part about being a hygienist is getting to know her patients and making dental appointments a positive experience for them. Her goal is to make people love coming to the dentist.

Outside of work, Caitlyn enjoys spending time with her family, trying new places to eat and being outdoors. One of her favorite verses to live by is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. “

Alex joined our team in February of 2021. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2018, with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She grew up in Burlington Kentucky but moved to Independence in 2019. She enjoys getting to know her patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental office. Outside of work, she enjoy going shopping for antiques and spending time with her family. One of her favorite quotes is “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.” ~Helen Keller

Keely joined Peter Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in July 2023, after earning her Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Cincinnati. Originally from Northern Kentucky, Keely enjoys listening to music, spending time with loved ones, and outdoor activities.

She is passionate about helping patients overcome dental anxieties and achieve healthy, confident smiles, describing her work as “fun and interesting!” Keely was inspired to become a dental hygienist by compassionate professionals, aiming to provide similar positive experiences. Her guiding philosophy is Reinhold Niebuhr’s quote: “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

Jessica is from Fort Thomas where she attended Highlands High School. She graduated from Lincoln College of Technology with a Dental Assisting Certificate. She started her career in the dental field in January 2012 and joined our office in December 2014. She received her EDDA certification is 2018 She loves to help patients conquer their fear of the dentist. She also enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors. Her favorite quote is from Napoleon Hill, “If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.”

Christy was born in Northern Kentucky. She is married and has one little girl named Navada. She has been a dental assistant for 4 years, obtained her expanded duties certification in 2021, from the University of Louisville. She enjoys beingable to connect with a patient and help them with their dental needs. Outside the office she loves being outdoors.
